The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team . LinkedIn’s Market Insights and Marketing Strategy (MIMS) team is looking for an experienced operations manager focusing on providing team-wide operational excellence with the ability to drive impact through technical project management of large-scale research data engineering projects as well as pursue high-level, marketing-wide insights projects and programs. This person will have responsibilities of a technical program manager as well as project manager for the MIMS team’s highest priority operational initiatives across research and data engineering, driving toward increasing efficiency and standardization. They will regularly identify and implement improvements that increase the efficiency of our insight operations and project management processes and ensure MIMS team outputs are leveraged across marketing. They should have the proven ability to engage and prioritize multiple projects and maintain necessary controls and procedures to ensure accuracy, business functionality and compliance with privacy and security policies. They operate with little to no managerial oversight and contribute directly to the team by independently developing capabilities. They will independently drive process innovation and create best practice resources for the team as needed. They will be expected to influence decision making across MIMS and marketing at a Director+ level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Marketing, Statistics or a related field
  • 10+ years of market research, analytics or consulting experience
  • 3+ years of experience in research or research operations role

Nice To Haves

  • Clear track record of academic and professional excellence and progress.
  • Familiarity with multiple research methodologies including segmentation, brand tracking, and conjoint.
  • Familiarity with data engineering skillsets, tools, and processes, as well as agile working models
  • Technical & programming skills including SQL, XML and/or HTML.
  • Familiarity with survey tools like Decipher, Qualtrics or Survey Monkey
  • Track record working in versatile and flexible environment; able to pivot with change effectively
  • Experience presenting recommendations and influencing executive-level business solutions
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills to build support and sponsorship of initiatives and collaboration among partners, stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute operational protocols and provide team-wide operational leadership
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and maintain necessary controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy, business functionality and compliance with privacy and security policies
  • Develop expertise in the data sources MIMS uses
  • Consistently and proactively communicate progress, milestones and challenges to stakeholders
  • Identify new methods for optimizing and improving existing projects and programs to make them less time-consuming to deliver
  • Actively participate in team-wide initiatives, lead trainings and establish expertise by influencing key decisions
