About The Position

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise content management solutions built on the OpenText Documentum platform. This role involves working across the full development lifecycle, from building and integrating APIs to managing platform upgrades and cloud-based deployments. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise content management solutions built on the OpenText Documentum platform. This role involves working across the full development lifecycle, from building and integrating APIs to managing platform upgrades and cloud-based deployments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Documentum applications, ensuring system reliability, and supporting business-critical content workflows. This position also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across both on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructures.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with OpenText Documentum and ECM solutions
  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenText Documentum, including components like Content Server, D2 (Config, Classic, Smart View), xPlore, CTS, and DFC
  • Solid understanding of Documentum architecture, object model, and security concepts
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs using Spring Framework
  • Proficiency in Java and Python, with a good grasp of object-oriented design
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, and IntelliJ
  • Experience working with application servers (Tomcat/J2EE) and relational databases
  • Good understanding of software design patterns and scalable architecture
  • Exposure to unit testing, code quality practices, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.) and troubleshooting cloud environments
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly
  • Able to manage priorities independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
