About The Position

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Senior NOC Infrastructure Engineer to serve as a technical leader and SME within the Network Operations Center (NOC) team, specializing in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and the surrounding Microsoft Cloud security and device-management ecosystem. You will be responsible for supporting physical infrastructure, including servers and storage, and will handle escalated support requests, perform deep technical investigation, and ensure secure, stable, and well-governed identity and access across customer environments. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Associate degree with significant, relevant professional experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience of progressive experience supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure, cloud, and identity environments.
  • 2+ years operating in a senior, escalation, or lead engineering capacity, with demonstrated ownership of complex incidents.
  • Proven experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or multi-tenant support environment.
  • Deep operational and architectural understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and identity security.
  • Ability to own incidents end-to-end, including vendor (Microsoft) escalations.
  • Comfort making technical decisions independently in high-impact scenarios.
  • Clear communicator who documents decisions, risks, and remediation steps thoroughly.
  • Trusted escalation resource for Azure, identity, and device-management issues.
  • Mentor who guides and uplifts junior and mid-level engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Customer’s Cloud Environments, Infrastructure, and Users:
  • Azure & Entra Core Responsibilities
  • Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including:
  • User lifecycle and identity governance
  • Group-based access, RBAC, PIM, and admin role segregation Conditional
  • Access design, enforcement, and troubleshooting
  • MFA, identity protection, and secure authentication policies
  • Administer Azure Infrastructure and core services:
  • Azure virtual networks, firewalls, and connectivity
  • Compute, storage, backup, and policy governance
  • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting
  • Support and optimize Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager:
  • Device compliance, configuration profiles, and app deployment
  • Autopilot lifecycle and troubleshooting
  • Conditional Access integration and device identity
  • Proactively manage customers physical infrastructure including:
  • Storage arrays
  • WiFi
  • Active Directory and associated servers
  • Ensure adherence to Zero Trust principles across identity, device, and access layers
  • General Responsibilities:
  • Lead escalated ticket troubleshooting using Aqueduct processes and best practices.
  • Maintain exceptional notes, clear reasoning, and step-by-step detail in all work.
  • Review customer environments proactively to identify risks, misconfigurations, or single points of failure.
  • Keep documentation updated, accurate, and thorough for all identity, access, and cloud services.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose improvements that reduce future incidents (automation, standards, documentation, monitoring).
  • Change Control:
  • Fully participate in and comply with Aqueduct’s Change Control processes.
  • Plan and execute cloud and identity-impacting changes carefully, following risk-mitigation and rollback best practices.
  • Training & Growth:
  • Maintain and pursue deep technical specialization across Azure, Entra, Intune, and Microsoft 365 security.
  • Engage in ongoing cross-training to expand into additional NOC practice areas.
  • Act as a mentor and knowledge resource to junior and mid-level NOC engineers.
