About The Position

Our client is a global non-profit organization that provides investment professionals with financial education and certification. The company unites over 200,000 investment experts worldwide and operates an extensive technology ecosystem of 100+ applications supporting its mission. We are looking for an exceptional candidate with deep expertise in revenue recognition combined with strong NetSuite hands-on experience and comprehensive accounting knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in CPA-level accounting principles, specifically revenue recognition, and advanced technical skills within NetSuite ERP, including Order-To-Cash (OTC) processes and Advanced Revenue Management (ARM). This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business challenges, designing and delivering optimal solutions, and providing ongoing support for NetSuite revenue recognition functions.

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent deep accounting knowledge.
Proven expertise in revenue recognition accounting principles and processes.
Extensive hands-on NetSuite experience specifically with: Order-To-Cash (OTC) operations, Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) module, Item catalog and record structure management, Scripting (SuiteScript), RESTlets, and SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF)
Demonstrated experience with functional specifications, solution design, and technical documentation.
Strong development background with ability to write, test, and deploy NetSuite customized code solutions.
Experience with version control and project management tools: GitHub, Jira, Confluence.
Comprehensive understanding of the SDLC including test and verification protocols.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication.
Team-oriented and able to work effectively with cross-functional groups.
Ability to absorb complex information quickly and provide insightful recommendations.
Strong problem-solving skills with initiative and independence.
Remote work capability with excellent time management and availability during core business hours (8am-5pm ET).

Nice To Haves

NetSuite certifications in development and/or revenue recognition domains.
Prior experience working in multi-developer environments using Agile or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level support and leadership for revenue recognition processes within NetSuite ERP.
Hands-on development, customization, and configuration of NetSuite features related to revenue recognition, OTC, ARM, and item catalog & record structures.
Design, develop, and implement solutions including scripts, RESTlets, and SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) components.
Participate in functional specification and design documentation creation.
Produce demo or full code solutions and ensure code quality with unit tests adhering to project standards.
Support full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities, including testing, verification, and post-production support.
Collaborate with multiple teams including developers, QA, business analysts, and stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
Engage in detailed discussions to analyze business challenges and recommend technically valid, practical, and strategic solutions.
Provide subject matter expertise on NetSuite revenue recognition capabilities and ensure alignment with accounting standards.
Maintain effective use of tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence for version control, issue tracking, and documentation.
Operate as a self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently without close supervision.
Be available daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET for required collaboration and support.
