We are looking for a Senior Natural Gas Designer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Columbus office. Candidates must have a high school diploma, and seven or more years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required. Periodic travel may be required. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule may be available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include: Manage, train, mentor, and develop a team of designers Responsible for the quality control of a larger production team Work with other Senior Designers and Project Manages to develop and implement process improvements. Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline designs, as-builts, and mechanical detail drawings Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD Generate bill of materials Ability to work independently Print working drawings using a plotter Create estimated time requirements for projects Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure Verify and organize field visit survey notes Assist Project Managers as needed Attend meetings as needed Maintain excellent client relations Maintain a safe working environment
