We are looking for a Designer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Orlando office. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry is preferred. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required. A technical degree and knowledge of MicroStation and/or ESRI is a plus. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include: Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline as-builts and mechanical detail drawings Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD Generate bill of materials Ability to work independently Print working drawings using a plotter Create estimated time requirements for projects Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis Operate a scanner to duplicate project documents and scan field notes Complete pipeline 'as-built' drawings from field notes, historic documents, survey data, etc. Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure Verify and organize field visit survey notes Assist Project Managers as needed Attend meetings as needed Maintain excellent client relations Maintain a safe working environment
