BPD is seeking an experienced Senior Media Buyer for our rapidly growing South Florida office. We differ from many agencies in that we integrate our media planning with our brand strategy and creative process. Our media team works alongside strategic planners and creatives to create campaigns that seamlessly combine channels, formats, and engagements. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5+ years media-related/agency experience.
  • Experience buying through Strata.
  • You build great relationships with clients, vendors, and reps.
  • Strong negotiation skills and successful track record in the media buying space.
  • Establish trust and credibility with clients and vendors.
  • Ability to deliver client-facing presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Media Strategy & Planning Assist in media strategy development and overall direction
  • Strategic thinking in providing rationales & POVs and making sound recommendations
  • Deep understanding of local markets and identification of market-specific opportunities
  • Awareness of evolving consumer media behaviors and platform trends
  • Analyze and provide research data, media/marketing insights, and strategic campaign analysis
  • Train media coordinators and provide opportunities for continued growth/advancement.
  • Cross-Channel Media Expertise (Traditional, Digital & Social) Work collaboratively with internal team members to develop and manage media buys across TV/Cable, Radio, Print, Outdoor, Digital, and Social
  • High-level understanding of digital and social media ecosystems
  • Evaluate integration of traditional media with digital and social channels
  • Collaborate with digital and social teams on targeting, messaging, and measurement framework
  • Working knowledge of digital and social metrics (e.g., reach, frequency, engagement, CTR, conversion, attribution models) and how they compare to traditional KPIs
  • Comfort reviewing digital and social plans and translating performance into broader media recommendations
  • Campaign Execution & Optimization Lead media projects with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Manage the day-to-day implementation, optimization, and performance of campaign activities including authorizations, budgets, and the reconciliation process
  • Monitor media for pacing, delivery, placement, and flight date discrepancies and negotiates credit or billing adjustments when necessary
  • Prepare insertion orders and place advertising with media vendors
  • Client & Partner Management / Quality Assurance Work collaboratively with internal team members
  • Ability to be client-facing
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, publishers and the client’s creative resources
  • Provide strategic guidance and clear communication to clients
  • Monitor media buys to ensure all brand safety, ad fraud, and view-ability standards are met or exceeded
