The Opportunity As the Sr Marketing Specialist and Event Coordinator in our Lake Forest, IL or Kansas City, MO location, this role leads the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows and industry events, including cross functional alignment, goal setting, vendor negotiation, logistics management, and on site execution. It oversees comprehensive marketing performance analytics , covering ROI calculations, email campaigns, webinars, website activity, S alesforce lead and opportunity tracking, and event performance reporting to drive data informed decision making . The position also supports B2B communications efforts and partners closely with Commercial Excellence, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure seamless lead management and pipeline visibility. Additional responsibilities include managing contracts, sponsorships, subscriptions, associations, and coordinating with procurement and finance to support broader marketing operations and relationship management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor ’ s degree in marketing , Business, Communications, or related field
  • 3 + years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or trade show management
  • Strong project management skills with experience coordinating cross functional teams
  • Experience with vendor management, contract coordination, and logistics planning
  • Understanding marketing metrics, ROI analysis, and performance reporting
  • Experience with B2B marketing campaigns, including email, webinars, and digital channels
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Marketing, Sales, Com mercial Ex cellence , Regulatory, and other internal partners
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels
  • Ability to work in multiple initiatives with short and overlapping deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse team
  • Self-motivated and self-starter, with initiative to deliver results

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce for lead tracking and opportunity management is desired but not a must
  • Experience in B2B marketing
