About The Position

We're seeking a HubSpot platform expert to serve as the subject matter expert and strategic owner of our marketing automation ecosystem. This role is critical to our marketing operations, owning the technical strategy, governance, and optimization of HubSpot while ensuring seamless integration with Salesforce (our system of record). You'll be the go-to authority for all things HubSpot, driving platform strategy, ensuring data integrity and compliance, and enabling cross-functional teams to execute sophisticated email and SMS campaigns that drive business growth. This role sits on the Growth team and reports to the Director of Growth. This is not just a systems role - it s a strategic position where you ll shape how our marketing engine operates. From building automated campaigns and managing content syndication to developing audience segmentation strategies and supporting event marketing, you ll be at the center of how we connect with and grow our audience.

Requirements

  • HubSpot platform expert with 5-7 years of hands-on experience in platform setup, management, and optimization
  • Deep technical knowledge of HubSpot Marketing Hub, including workflows, smart lists, custom objects, and APIs
  • Proven experience managing HubSpot in environments where it's integrated with Salesforce as the system of record
  • Strong understanding of CRM data architecture, integration patterns, and data governance
  • Expert knowledge of email deliverability, compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL), and SMS best practices
  • Growth-minded operator who is comfortable working within an experimentation framework (hypotheses, tests, learnings, iteration) rather than static campaigns.
  • Proficient in A/B and multivariate testing, with a track record of driving measurable gains in key funnel metrics through systematic optimization.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to balance strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-directed problem solver who takes ownership of platform performance and health
  • 5+ years of experience specifically managing HubSpot Marketing Hub in a platform owner capacity
  • Demonstrated expertise with HubSpot-Salesforce integrations and data synchronization
  • HubSpot certifications required (Marketing Hub, CRM, Email Marketing); additional certifications preferred
  • Experience with email/SMS compliance frameworks and deliverability best practices
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (Google Analytics, HubSpot Analytics, SQL knowledge a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in B2B environments, preferably coaching, education, or SaaS industries

Responsibilities

  • Own the HubSpot platform strategy, architecture, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives
  • Serve as the organization's HubSpot SME, providing guidance and best practices to cross-functional teams
  • Establish and enforce governance standards for data quality, compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL), and platform usage
  • Lead platform optimization efforts to maximize ROI and operational efficiency
  • Partner closely with RevOps and Salesforce teams to maintain seamless bidirectional data flow between platforms
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability
  • Develop and maintain data mapping documentation and integration protocols
  • Drive data hygiene initiatives including cleansing, enrichment, and deduplication
  • Own all technical aspects of email and SMS execution, including deliverability, testing, and compliance
  • Lead A/B and multivariate testing strategies to optimize campaign performance
  • Build and manage sophisticated workflows, automations, and lead nurture programs
  • Own quality assurance for all email and SMS campaigns in HubSpot, ensuring templates, workflows, and audiences configured by contractors adhere to internal standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the broader Growth team to identify opportunities across the funnel and translate them into experiments, automations, and lifecycle programs in HubSpot.
  • Build and maintain a backlog of growth experiments (subject lines, cadences, segment strategies, routing logic, etc.) and prioritize based on impact and effort.
  • Partner with analytics to measure lift, codify learnings, and roll out winning variants as new standards.
  • Design and implement advanced segmentation strategies based on behavioral, demographic, and firmographic data
  • Create and maintain customer journey maps with corresponding automated touchpoints
  • Develop dynamic content and personalization strategies to improve engagement
  • Build and optimize lead scoring models aligned with sales definitions
  • Create and maintain dashboards tracking email/SMS performance, automation effectiveness, and database health
  • Provide actionable insights to marketing leadership on campaign performance and optimization opportunities
  • Monitor key metrics including deliverability, engagement rates, conversion rates, and attribution
  • Train and enable marketing team members and cross-functional partners on HubSpot capabilities
  • Provide technical consultation for campaign strategy and execution
  • Document processes, workflows, and best practices for platform usage
