About this Marketing Role The Marketing organization influences decisions by establishing and communicating our full product value proposition across the full value chain, from payers, to health systems, to prescribers, to patients. Marketers are masterful storytellers - accountable to inform positioning using an insight-driven marketing strategy, deliver simple compelling customer-led content creation, and design outstanding integrated customer experiences in partnership with networked partners (e.g., Customer Engagement and Genentech Business Operations). Marketers strategically use resources and their network to drive patient outcomes for today’s innovations, and fuel tomorrow’s breakthroughs. This Senior Marketing Manager is integral to successfully delivering the Ophthalmology Marketing vision. The SMM will partner on planning, leadership, and execution of key Ophthalmology portfolio initiatives. We are now pursuing "Direct to Consumer" approaches for patients and caregivers in a highly competitive marketplace. This role will lead the expansion of our regional DTC efforts to a national scale. In collaboration with other patient marketers, this individual will play a key role in developing and executing our new campaign and tactics that may include TV. While initially focused on patient, this SMM will have responsibilities that may span a range of product marketing responsibilities, customer groups, and Ophthalmology products. Specific experience with patient and caregiver marketing would be a plus. The role will report into the Ophthalmology Marketing Team Director.
