About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking for Senior Manufacturing Manager for our Collins Aerospace Richardson team within Mission Systems. This role requires a thorough leader capable of interfacing at all levels of the organization. They will be responsible for managing the factory floor with their team of production supervisors that will manage the direct charge assembly and test employees. They will manage time and attendance, work balance, lead tier meetings, and all work running through the factory. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience with Electronics Manufacturing
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of cell leaders to ensure all quality related items are complete and documented
  • Directs cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness
  • Directs scheduling to meet production schedules
  • Sets the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity
  • Leads materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations
  • Directs production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance production capabilities
  • Liaises with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services
  • Responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations in a plant
  • Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management)
  • Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function
  • Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines
  • Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline
  • Ensures time is entered and maintained weekly for factory employees
