About The Position

As part of our Power & Controls organization, you’ll help ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of critical actuation systems that keep aircraft operating around the world. In this Senior Manufacturing Engineer role, you will serve as the engineering focal supporting work transfer for legacy actuation products while driving manufacturing excellence within the aftermarket environment. You’ll work closely with MRO operations, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure transferred work is standardized, optimized, and executable — enabling safe, efficient, and repeatable repair and overhaul operations.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or test equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, or electronic systems
  • Previous aviation or aerospace manufacturing experience, particularly in repair and overhaul environments
  • CAD modeling experience (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the engineering focal point for work transfer activities supporting legacy actuation Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), ensuring successful transition into the aftermarket manufacturing environment
  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes that support production, repair, and overhaul activities, with consideration for the unique challenges of aftermarket operations
  • Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing and repair processes to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance
  • Develop detailed work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation to support standardized and repeatable shop-floor execution
  • Partner with MRO plant, production, quality, and operations teams to support economical and efficient manufacturing solutions
  • Conduct tests, measurements, and process validations throughout various stages of production to ensure control of critical variables
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues involving equipment, tooling, test systems, and repair methods
  • Support the troubleshooting and maintenance of test equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, electronic controls, and software-based systems
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to the shop floor, responding quickly to operational issues and driving root cause and corrective action
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, turnaround time, and operational stability
