About The Position

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Winston-Salem in our Engineering Development Lab (EDL) to support our interior furniture and seating product lines, spanning Main Cabin through Super First Class seating. This is a highly visible role at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and quality—ideal for an engineer who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and improving how work gets done on the shop floor. In this role, you’ll review and check design data (Drawings and Bills of Material) for rework of test product, translating statements of work and engineering changes into clear, detailed, technician-ready instructions. You’ll also serve as a consultant and advisor to the technician, design and quality teams by assisting in clarification of ambiguous data and recommending methods and tools to effectively produce the product. And over time, this role offers the opportunity to expand into broader Manufacturing Engineering (ME) capabilities, including creating drawings, designing fixtures, and driving process improvements that make technicians’ jobs safer, easier, and more efficient.
