  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills for complex production issues, including leading cross-functional troubleshooting and root cause resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Smart Manufacturing Leadership & Strategy: Lead Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0strategy across multiple manufacturing sites in the US and Europe. Develop multi-year roadmap, and operating model for OT digital systems (SCADA, OEE, IIoT, analytics). Establish strategy, standards, reference architectures, governance, and success metrics across sites and production areas.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead and mentor a team of OT digital professionals (e.g., Sr. Automation Controls SCADA Engineers, data/visualization resources, integrators). Assign priorities, remove roadblocks, set performance expectations, and build technical depth in Ignition, OT networking, cybersecurity, and system integration.
  • Enterprise IIoT/SCADA Ownership: Own the architecture, lifecycle management, scalability, and reliability of Ignition based IIoT and SCADA system. Drive platform consistency (templates, tag models, naming standards, alarming, security), environment management (dev/test/prod), and change control.
  • New Automation Enablement: Partner with Automation Engineering and equipment vendors to ensure new automation is “digitally ready.” Define machine data requirements, connectivity standards, and commissioning/acceptance criteria for SCADA and OEE integration (e.g., machine states, faults, starved/blocked, counts, rejects, cycle time).
  • Smart Factory Integration: Lead integration of SCADA and OEE with production automation equipment, and enterprise systems like MES, CMMS, and QMS to enable end-to-end actionable insights. Coordinate IT/OT data flows, master data alignment, and system interoperability.
  • Visualization & Analytics Enablement: Ensure the organization has the data visualizations needed across roles (operators, engineers, supervisors, leadership) to provide data driven insights. Guide the development of real-time and historical views, OEE loss trees, downtime Pareto, and shift/line reviews, ensuring data integrity and usability.
  • OT Network Infrastructure & Monitoring: Lead OT network strategy in partnership with IT/Network teams, including segmentation approaches and plant-floor connectivity standards. Sponsor/drive OT visibility initiatives such as Cisco Cyber Vision and ensure monitoring supports both reliability and security use cases.
  • OT Cybersecurity & Policy Alignment: Ensure OT digital systems and connected automation assets align with corporate cybersecurity policies and best practices (including ISO/ISA 62443 concepts).
