About The Position

Due to the exciting growth of our business, BODEN, an award-winning, independent, communications powerhouse, is looking for a Senior Manager to join our team. This position is fully remote. The candidate must be in commuting distance to the NYC area to visit clients. There will be periodic travel to the Miami office. Senior Managers lead sizable client relationships and successful communications strategies, delivering exceptional results and strategic counsel. In addition to account management, senior managers are pivotal to the organization, managing and mentoring team members, contributing to business growth, and ensuring financial excellence. What You’ll Lead: Develop and execute earned-first campaigns that positions a global spirits brand at the center of sports, music, nightlife, and creator culture. Lead media strategy across lifestyle, sports, entertainment, and spirits media. Manage cultural partnerships including MLS activations, and celebrity collaborations. Help create cultural moments that drive conversation, coverage, and social engagement. Lead integrated programs that combine PR, influencer marketing, and experiential activations. Serve as a day-to-day team leader and project manager and a strategic partner to the client and the internal team, reporting into an SVP. Key qualities include: Strong media relationships across lifestyle, sports, and entertainment press Experience working with celebrity or talent partnerships Passion for sports culture Understanding of cocktail culture Experience leading integrated PR and influencer programs Ability to translate cultural insights into earned-first campaign ideas Confidence managing clients and leading cross-functional teams Key Responsibilities: Oversees the development of award-winning earned media and influencer plans as well as activations/tentpoles Ensures the success of client programming, including campaigns, activations, and partnerships, providing strategic counsel to the team Oversees day-to-day client projects to ensure deadline and budget adherence, setting client expectations for the team; is accountable for client satisfaction within all projects managed Develops strategic earned media and influencer communication plans backed by insights, timelines, and budget estimates Supports the strategic communications planning process and leads in presenting ideas to the client Reviews and edits media materials – pitches, bios, infographics, case studies, backgrounders, and media lists to ensure they are robust and detailed Identifies potential issues and conflicts and steps in for problem-solving as needed Actively contributes to new business processes; assists in the preparation of new business proposals, RFPs, and budgets Identifies organic new business opportunities from existing clients Assists in managing the client's budget, including fees and OOPs Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage projects to maintain profitability and revenue targets, managing the client’s budget, supporting the account lead with effective resource allocation, etc. Inspires, manages, evaluates, develops, and mentors employees Supervises junior staff to ensure quality and consistency of work Provides ongoing constructive feedback on performance, compliance, and ethical business conduct Requirements: 7+ years of work experience in a public relations/communications agency Experience developing highly successful earned media strategies Deep understanding of today’s stakeholders and media landscape Strong media relations expertise Excellent client management skills Strong organizational, people, and project management skills Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field What Makes This Role Unique: This global brand is one of the most culturally active spirits brands in the world — and this role sits at the center of that work. Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience in a public relations/communications agency
  • Experience developing highly successful earned media strategies
  • Deep understanding of today’s stakeholders and media landscape
  • Strong media relations expertise
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong organizational, people, and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Identifies organic new business opportunities from existing clients
  • Assists in managing the client's budget, including fees and OOPs
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage projects to maintain profitability and revenue targets, managing the client’s budget, supporting the account lead with effective resource allocation, etc.
