Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field experience in building systems design, controls, or operations
  • Experience negotiating contracts or service agreements
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP)
  • Project Management certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field and 4 years’ experience in utility operations or related area OR 6 years’ experience in utility operations or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute energy efficiency projects to reduce costs and support operational needs across Walmart’s stores and clubs
  • Conduct energy audits, analyze building energy usage, and identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency
  • Optimize building systems—including HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration—to enhance performance and sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and secure available incentives, credits, and rebates
  • Develop and implement organizational energy management strategies, including cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, promote company values, and support community outreach efforts
