About The Position

JR286 is seeking a Senior Supply Planning Manager to join our team in Torrance, CA for our Nike equipment and accessory business. This position will drive cross-functional collaboration across various teams, capture key business and supply planning requirements, and create buy plans to be executed by our procurement team in Asia. This is a high visibility role that will engage closely with our executive team and will play a key role in determining the company’s inventory strategy.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of planning experience, preferably in the apparel, footwear, or accessory industry
  • BS in business management or supply chain
  • Must be self-directed, able to communicate effectively with senior executives
  • Experience with Sales and Operations Planning Process as a team member or facilitator
  • Ability to understand organizations strategic direction and execute tactically
  • Outstanding attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture
  • Spreadsheet & data modeling proficiency including Excel and Oracle 11i ASCP, MRP, inventory and purchasing modules

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Certification in production and inventory management (CPIM) or Six Sigma is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in sports accessories and equipment industry
  • Experience with implementing or using an advanced ETE planning system.

Responsibilities

  • Own buying process and partner with sales, demand planning and product teams to optimize our supply levels to maximize order fulfillment and minimize inventory obsolescence
  • Optimize service and inventory tradeoffs while maintaining healthy partnerships, effective supply flow, and a globally leveraged buying process
  • Provide feedback and coaching to procurement team to help reinforce best practices and establish effective reporting cadence
  • Establish strong working relationships with customer service and demand planning to address stockouts and disruptions in supply positions
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to establish and review key performance indicators and determine action/recovery plans for stock outs
  • Collaborate with IT on systems initiatives that support demand and supply planning; recommend and support changes to enhance the planning process
  • Actively participate in the S&OP and make data-driven recommendations
  • Support multiple, competing, high-priority tasks/projects with varying deadlines
  • Actively participate in the selection of an advanced ETE Planning solution and drive the implementation and configuration of Supply Planning capabilities
  • Other duties as assigned
