About The Position

As the Senior Manager of Social Media, you will be the driving force behind our digital presence, crafting the voice of our iconic brand across global platforms to reach millions of families. You will bridge the gap between educational mission and digital innovation, leading strategic initiatives that foster deep community engagement and celebrate our legacy of inclusion.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional social media experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated managerial role at a major consumer brand or media agency.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling online communities with a deep understanding of platform-specific algorithms and best practices.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt a brand's voice for diverse audiences, including parents, educators, and fans.
  • Advanced proficiency in social media management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Dash Hudson.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex campaigns and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working within children’s media, educational entertainment, or the non-profit sector.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills using the Adobe Creative Suite or mobile-first creative tools like Canva and CapCut.
  • Experience managing and executing paid social media budgets to amplify organic content and reach targeted demographics.
  • Established network and experience in influencer marketing and managing external talent partnerships.
  • Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish, to assist with global audience engagement and localization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-platform social media strategy that aligns with Sesame Workshop’s brand mission and long-term business goals.
  • Manage the end-to-end content lifecycle, from creative briefing and production to scheduling and community management across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
  • Lead data-driven performance analysis by tracking key metrics and translating insights into actionable strategies to increase reach and audience engagement.
  • Oversee cross-functional collaborations with Creative, PR, and Marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and successful promotional campaign launches.
  • Stay at the forefront of digital trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for brand growth and innovation within the social space.
