About The Position

Fanatics Betting & Gaming looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media Content to scale Fanatics Sportsbook’s social presence into a category-defining destination. You’ll be goaled on how you accelerate momentum across the brand’s social channel ecosystem, driving reach, engagement, and followers through a steady cadence of social content and activation that demands attention and engagement. This role requires a true leader and a doer, who sets a high bar for compelling brand storytelling, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to create, edit and publish content with speed and precision. The ideal candidate is highly skilled at running social newsrooms and can act fast to turn a trend into a compelling brand moment. They know how to measure what matters, use systems to track performance, learn fast, and continuously optimize for impact. And most of all, we’re looking for someone who lives and breathes sports and culture, who possesses a sharp editorial POV and deeply understands daily sports narratives and how our community thinks, talks, and shares. Candidates with agency experience and a proven track record of working across multiple brands are strongly preferred. This role will report into the Director, Social Media and is Hybrid out of our NYC office.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience of demonstrated success driving social strategy and execution for major consumer brands or sports publishers, with a proven track record of growing communities over time.
  • Expert knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Discord, Reddit, and YouTube, with an emphasis on the nuances of each platform’s features and the unique needs and behaviors of each platform’s users.
  • Strong production acumen. You know how to get things made, with experience partnering with creative teams, both internal and agency, to effectively brief, deliver feedback, and project manage.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail, with proven experience translating brand visual identity, voice and tonality to social.
  • Experience working in social media content and performance management systems, such as Sprinklr.
  • Experience successfully collaborating with influencers and creators on behalf of a brand or business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of paid advertising and business tools available on TikTok, X, Meta, and YouTube.
  • Prior experience in sports, with a deep understanding of contemporary American pro sports leagues and gameplay.
  • Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with agency experience and a proven track record of working across multiple brands are strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of current trends, regulations, and best practices in the betting and gaming sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own what goes out on Fanatics Sportsbook social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, Discord, and YouTube.
  • Maintain a content calendar across all channels, providing consistent communication and visibility on the publishing plan at daily, weekly, and monthly checkpoints.
  • Proactively plan, produce and execute content that entertains and generates strong organic reach.
  • Partner closely with internal and external Social Creative Team to improve our content and test bold ideas, balancing creative insight and brand tone with quantitative analysis
  • Partner closely with the Influencer & Talent Team to identify, engage and execute highly engaging and entertaining concepts with a range of talent spanning niche creators to campaign-headlining celebrities and athletes.
  • Represent and secure what each channel needs to be successful in national and local campaigns, mentoring other functional teams on what works on social.
  • Ensure content meets legal and regulatory compliance requirements through direct partnership with internal teams.
  • Work closely with the Director, Social Media to develop/influence paid media strategies supporting campaigns.
