The Senior Manager of School Psychology and Assessment provides strategic leadership and collaboratively organizes, assesses, and oversees the roles and practices of School Social Workers and School Psychologist within Mental Health and Student Well-Being. This leader engages in the following: 1) Provides guidance and direction in school psychology and assessment practices to align with special education's strategic plan, 2) Ensures operational support for fulfilling District priorities and IDEA/504 assessment requirements, 3) Engages with departmental staff, principals, school personnel, and community stakeholders, 4) Hires and supervises centrally hired School Psychologists in service delivery and practice , and 4) Oversee recruitment and retention strategies for School Psychologists, and 5) Collaboratively oversees mental health practices across all DPS schools and students.
