The Senior Manager, Radiology Clinical Applications, is responsible for leading a team of experienced professionals who deliver Merge Imaging solutions to healthcare clients. This role establishes operational objectives, policies, and work plans, and ensures the team’s alignment with strategic goals. The Senior Manager drives excellence in solution delivery, customer satisfaction, clinical adoption and team development, while collaborating across departments to influence broader organizational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT or clinical environments, with a minimum of 3 years in a formal leadership role with direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of radiology workflows and imaging informatics technologies.
  • Experience developing and executing change management strategies to support clinical adoption and operational transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end solution delivery, including workflow analysis, configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, management and facilitation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (CIIP, PARCA, CPSA, etc.) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute operational objectives, policies, and procedures for the Clinical Applications team.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and guide execution across multiple projects and disciplines.
  • Manage department budget and resource allocation with broad impact on business outcomes.
  • Drive transformational initiatives to modernize clinical application and/or training processes, ensuring alignment with evolving industry standards and emerging technologies
  • Lead and mentor a team of Clinical Applications specialists including hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and delegate assignments to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Provide guidance on complex matters and support specialists as needed.
  • Ensure successful implementation of Merge Imaging solutions, including workflow design, configuration, training, and adoption.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex customer issues and strategic engagements.
  • Foster relationships with key clinical stakeholders and ensure alignment with customer goals.
  • Lead efforts to redesign and optimize how clinical application specialists implement Merge solutions, leveraging best practices and innovative approaches to ensure efficient delivery, successful go lives and clinical adoption.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and other departments to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
  • Influence company-wide policies and practices through feedback and strategic input.
  • Represent the Clinical Applications function in internal planning and external engagements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process reengineering and digital transformation.
  • Manage team performance, project assignments and milestones, and outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards including HIPAA and clinical best practices.
  • Champion transformation initiatives, including but not limited to implementation of new tools and templates, approaches to application training, and clinical engagement.
