About The Position

This role independently and proactively leads a matrixed cross-functional medical project team within Cell Therapy Medical. The Senior Manager will serve as a strategic and operational portfolio partner for the medical lead and team, focusing on identifying, planning, risk identification/mitigation, and delivering on portfolio priorities and workstreams. Key areas include managing Asset Indication Medical meetings, medical planning, budget management/planning, congress activities, Ad Board planning, and portfolio governance/decision making. The position requires collaboration across various matrix functions such as Medical Evidence Generation, finance, development teams, corporate giving, advocacy, professional societies, and business operations to support the company's overall objectives, prioritization, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership with passion, innovation, speed, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical research, development, or commercialization.
  • Solid understanding of drug development and commercialization.
  • Project management foundation and relevant experience on matrix management, budget management, metrics and leadership communication.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact directly and productively with team members and management.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to lead and engage in complex scientific discussions, develop and summarize clear follow-up/action plans and execute.
  • Strong experience with building relationships, leading strategic initiatives and programs, and collaborating across divisions with people of diverse business backgrounds and cultures.
  • Highly organized and motivated individual that can work independently/effectively with cross functional matrixed teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, driving change and innovation across a matrix.

Nice To Haves

  • Science background strongly recommended.
  • An advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA) is a plus.
  • Experience with drug development, commercialization, healthcare, clinical trial management a plus.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Medical Lead, facilitate the development, execution and strategic reviews of Medical Plans, supporting alignment with TA portfolio objectives and the activities of multidisciplinary groups.
  • Partner with the Medical Lead in overseeing AIMs (Asset Indication Medical) Team meeting: organizing, managing and communicating the portfolio of projects aligned with the AIMs goals and objectives.
  • Drive efficient operations, strategic alignment, and effective knowledge exchange.
  • Provide support, as well as monitoring and tracking other key projects to ensure their successful completion, including preparing agendas, managing content, aligning presenters/materials, minutes, tracking action items, key decision/next steps, ensuring representation in the decision-making process from appropriate cross-functional partners, and maintaining SharePoint documentation.
  • Support S&O and LT (Leadership Team) including LT meetings, quarterly business reviews, and budget reduction scenario plans.
  • Maintain Medical plans, manage dependencies across functions, and provide transparency to medical leads and senior leaders.
  • Facilitate comprehensive project plans and progress reports for team leads, senior management and other stakeholders, as needed.
  • Track, measure, provide performance updates and identify risk areas or barriers impeding successful execution.
  • Work with teams, medical leadership, and/or senior management to resolve issues.
  • Partner with Finance and Medical leads to facilitate the budget process including trade-off discussions and on an ongoing basis ensure the brand budgets (including facilitation of annual budget, monthly projections, accruals, variance analysis and budget planning for the coming year) are on track.
  • Partner with the Congress Management team, EMCoE and Corporate Giving.
  • Support key cross-functional strategic initiatives lead by the Medical team by providing project management expertise for project planning including aligning on tasks, resource needs, timelines and objectives.
  • Identify, develop and implement new processes to facilitate continued evolution of the Operations function and improve efficiency of the medical organization.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including Development Teams, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Commercial and Medical team members, to influence strategic alignment on key medical objectives.
  • Ensure Medical Team members are fully represented in the decision-making process with knowledge exchange.
  • Manage Distribution Lists.
  • Ensure key communication points are captured and disseminated.
