About The Position

The Senior Manager, Platform Partnerships is a critical driver of Opportunity@Work’s (O@W) Theory of Change, specifically "C"hanged Outcomes, rewiring the labor market to enable sustained economic mobility for STARs (workers skilled through alternative routes) and meet employers’ critical talent needs. Reporting to the VP of Platform Partnerships, you will manage a portfolio of "high-leverage" HR technology platforms—including Job Boards, ATS, and HRIS providers—to shift their technical infrastructure from exclusionary degree-based defaults to inclusive, skills-first designs. You will manage a portfolio of strategic platform partnerships who are active members of Opportunity@Work’s Tear the Paper Ceiling Coalition (TTPC), support operations of the Talent Tech Champions Council and drive revenue through partnerships renewals. This role requires a blend of strategic account management and project execution. As Senior Manager, you will collaborate closely with O@W partners and internal O@W capabilities (Research, Data, and Communications) to embed STAR-inclusive workflows, signals, and data models into the talent technology ecosystem. This is an opportunity for you to hone your skills building partnerships that create shared value and win-win outcomes. You’ll be at the nexus of social impact through tech systems change, work closely with world class companies and systems level labor market challenges.

Requirements

  • Partnership & Account Management: 4-6 years of experience in corporate partnerships, SaaS/tech sales, with a proven track record of managing revenue-generating accounts and driving renewals.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to connect micro-level product features (e.g., a search filter) to macro-level labor market outcomes (e.g., closing the $100B wage gap).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the HR technology landscape (ATS, HCM, Labor Market Data) and the ecosystem that influences hiring standards.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from start to finish, driving outcomes to specific stage-gates with attention to detail.
  • Mission Alignment: A demonstrated passion for "Tearing the Paper Ceiling" and a belief that STARs are the engine of an inclusive economy.
  • Complex Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of moving partnerships from "Social Impact" or CSR silos into core product and business teams.
  • Collaboration: Focuses on optimizing collaboration and establishing processes that improve team productivity and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Drive 2026 Scale Goals: Manage and grow a portfolio of TTPC coalition members and platform partners, serving as the primary lead for maintaining relationships and driving engagement.
  • “Tipping Point” Strategy: Design and execute account plans designed to reach a “market adoption tipping point,” enabling skills-based hiring to accelerate across the labor market.
  • Drive revenue growth and renewals: by demonstrating partnership value, securing multi-year commitments, and managing earned revenue partnerships such as advisory services and data integrations.
  • Talent Tech Champions Council: Manage and expand the Talent Tech cohort, turning exploratory interest into multi-year commitments to skills-first product roadmaps.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects in collaboration with partner teams, ensuring the smooth execution of pilots, product integrations, and research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with O@W internal capabilities (e.g., Policy, Data, Research) to deliver high-quality advisory services and STAR-centric insights to partners.
  • Execute on platform-specific interventions, such as testing STAR-centric signals, workflows, and behavioral nudges that shift employer behavior and increase STAR hiring.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and project needs, independently managing iterations, outputs, and deliverables to ensure quality work is delivered on time,
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities for deepening engagement and new business growth within the Talent Technology partners.
  • Articulate the Platform Partnerships strategy, explaining how O@W seeks to shift the narrative about STARs and influence the technical infrastructure of hiring.
  • Contribute to the 2026 strategy by identifying "first win" integrations and helping recruit founding members of the Champions Council.
  • Advise partners on how to refine their data models and algorithms to accurately reflect STARs and their skills, leveraging O@W’s research and frameworks.
