About The Position

At Gravitee, our growth is powered by people who bring passion to what they build, act with professionalism in how they work, and hold nothing back in their commitment to doing things well. As we scale globally, the Senior Manager, People & Talent plays a critical role in shaping how we attract, support, and grow our teams. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role that combines ownership of HR People Operations with leadership of recruitment, ensuring we hire exceptional talent while building People practices that stand up to rapid growth. This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-paced, demanding environments, takes pride in high standards, and is willing to step in, take ownership, and push for better outcomes. Anchored in the US and partnering closely with global colleagues, this role helps bring Gravitee’s values to life through action, not just intent.

Requirements

  • Strong, hands-on experience with US employment law (federal, state, and local)
  • Proven ability to drive measurable performance improvements across multiple functions.
  • Experience working in high-growth environments (tech / SaaS preferred)
  • Curiosity about modern, innovative approaches to People Operations and Talent, including the practical use of AI and automation to improve workflows
  • Confidence using data, tools, and systems to improve hiring quality and People processes
  • Proven experience delivering hands-on recruitment, including outbound hiring
  • Sound judgment and professionalism in employee relations and sensitive situations
  • Strong written communication skills and comfort creating clear, scalable documentation.
  • A pragmatic, calm, and collaborative working style with a strong sense of ownership

Responsibilities

  • Own People Operations with a strong sense of accountability and professionalism, including compliance employee relations, performance management, and core people processes.
  • Apply a continuous-improvement mindset to People Operations - using data, tooling, and emerging technologies to simplify workflows, reduce friction, and improve employee experience.
  • Explore and apply AI-enabled tools and automation thoughtfully across HR processes (e.g. documentation, insights, reporting, process design), ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance.
  • Handle complex or sensitive situations with calm judgment, fairness, and clarity, supported by clear documentation and sound decision-making.
  • Maintain People policies, records, and processes that are audit-ready, scalable, and fit for a growing, global SaaS organization.
  • Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, or gaps in People practices and take ownership of improving them rather than waiting for escalation.
  • Lead and deliver hiring with energy, pace, and high standards, balancing speed with long-term quality.
  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, with a strong focus on the US while partnering globally
  • Leverage data, tooling, and AI-assisted workflows to improve sourcing effectiveness, screening quality, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.
  • Partner closely with leaders, challenging thinking where needed to ensure we hire the right people, not just the fastest.
  • Coach and up skill hiring managers on structured interviewing, evidence-based decision-making, and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve how recruiting tools and systems are used, optimizing rather than working around them.
  • Act as a visible, trusted People partner for US-based employees, balancing empathy with consistency and high standards.
  • Support a cohesive, inclusive culture across a distributed, global workforce. Contribute pragmatically to engagement, wellbeing, and manager-enablement initiatives that scale with the business.
  • Help translate Gravitee’s values into everyday behaviors, decisions, and people practices, not just statements.
