IT’S AMAZING WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU START COMPLETELY FRESH! We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven Senior Manager of Paid Media to join our Marketing Communications team. This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing Communications and will lead the development, execution, and optimization of Freshpet’s paid media strategy across North America. You’ll partner closely with our media agency of record (AOR), internal brand and digital teams, and external retail and eCommerce partners to drive integrated media campaigns that build brand love, awareness, and conversion across all touchpoints — from mass media to digital performance and retail media networks. This is a high-impact role for an experienced marketer who can bridge strategy and execution — driving Freshpet’s continued growth and leadership in the fresh pet food category.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in paid media strategy and execution (brand-side, agency, or both).
  • Proven track record managing large-scale omnichannel media campaigns.
  • Deep expertise in digital media platforms (Meta, YouTube, Google Ads, Programmatic, Retail Media Networks).
  • Understanding of video/TV planning and buying principles.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with external agencies and internal partners.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with experience in campaign measurement and ROI reporting.
  • Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and project management abilities.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Commerce media experience, managing retail and DTC performance media.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the North America paid media strategy to align with Freshpet’s overarching marketing and brand goals.
  • Oversee media planning, buying, and performance optimization across all paid channels (TV, digital video, social, display, search
  • Partner with internal brand, DTC, and eCommerce teams to deliver integrated media plans that connect storytelling with performance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with our media agency of record (AOR), ensuring collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Manage annual paid media budgets, including forecasting, pacing, and financial stewardship.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance to extract actionable insights and drive ongoing optimization.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Brand, and Insights teams to ensure media and messaging work hand-in-hand.
  • Explore and test emerging channels, tools, and partnerships that keep Freshpet at the forefront of media innovation.
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior leadership, clearly communicating business impact.
  • Champion media best practices and knowledge sharing across the broader marketing organization.
