From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you. Job overview and responsibilities The Field Operations Support (FOS) team supports real time operations through collaborative decision-making, strategic planning, and irregular operations management. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the team’s performance while being a critical team member in the planning and communication or weather, irregular, or other operational events. This position plays a critical role in researching and providing innovative solutions to support Network and Airport operations teams, focusing on communication, station readiness, network flexibility and situational awareness driving operational success. Manage a team of Representatives to ensure daily roster needs are met in an efficient manner. Calls for shift coverage as needed, in compliance with FAA regulations and in accordance with the CBA contractual requirements. Develops and maintains advanced work schedules for NOC functions. Supports weather, irregular ops, and other operational planning activities by coordinating with key stakeholders to assess operational needs. Communicate plans to leadership teams in Network and Airport Operations ensuring situational awareness and station preparedness. Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders from Network Operations, Airport Operations and other teams, including Network Directors, Operations Managers, United Express Network Managers, Regional Directors, Solutions and Recovery, AO Senior Regional Managers, and Station General Managers. Leads, coaches, develops and is responsible for overall performance management of the FOS team. Proactively seek opportunities to improve operational success, processes and procedures, and develop and implement creative and innovation solutions to improve efficiency. Proactively identify opportunities for station readiness and operational success, and coordinates with policy procedure, safety, and execution teams to prioritize and optimize station capabilities to meet strategic operational and customer needs.
