About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Merchandise Planning Process & System Owner serves as the central point of contact and process owner for all merchandise planning functions at Sam's Club. You will lead the management of planning systems, oversee process design and change management, and act as the primary liaison between Planning, Merchandising, and Technology teams. This role ensures planning systems operate seamlessly, processes evolve with business initiatives, and planners are equipped with the tools and training they need to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field and 2 years experience in finance or related field OR 6 years experience in finance or related field.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience OR 1 year experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage merchandise planning systems (PBC, SAP) and ensure accurate execution of key processes such as month-end close, reporting, and adjustments.
  • Partner with Tech teams to resolve issues, guide system enhancements, and maintain a 12-18 month roadmap.
  • Lead training, documentation, and change management for planning processes and tools.
  • Act as the central link between Planning and Merchandising, driving clear communication, education, and alignment across teams.
