About The Position

The Senior Manager of Learning & Development will lead the strategy, design, and execution of innovative, scalable learning experiences that accelerate associate performance, enable leadership capability, and support Ashford Group of Companies business priorities. This role partners closely with Operations and Human Resources to build a culture of continuous learning and growth across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., ATD, CPLP, SHRM, Prosci) preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive L&D experience, including learning design, facilitation, content development, program management, and learning technology management.
  • Hospitality, service industry, or multi-unit field operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling a learning culture and designing programs that drive measurable business results.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, blended learning strategies, and learning experience design (LxD).
  • Experience with modern learning technologies (LMS/LXP platforms, microlearning, video-based learning, mobile learning, AI-enabled learning tools, assessments, etc.).
  • Skilled in data insights, reporting, and evaluation methodology (e.g., Kirkpatrick, ROI).
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusted partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project management capability—able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously from concept through implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change with empathy, clarity, and resilience.
  • Strong communicator with polished facilitation skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Remington Operations and HR Business Partners to build and deliver development strategies and learning programs that align to business needs, performance goals, and talent priorities.
  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions, including leadership development, onboarding, compliance training, skills development, and career pathway initiatives.
  • Create a cohesive learning ecosystem by leveraging technology, digital platforms, and blended learning methods that reinforce AGC’s culture and support an engaging learner experience.
  • Oversee the creation and ongoing management of content, curriculum frameworks, tools, and resources for all organizational levels—hourly, professional, and leadership.
  • Establish standardized processes for program delivery, evaluation, measurement, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the administration, optimization, and day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System (LMS) and learning technologies.
  • Identify, select, and manage external learning partners and vendors.
  • Develop and track key performance metrics to measure learning effectiveness, performance impact, adoption, and ROI.
  • Use data to drive insights-based decisions that shape future learning solutions and talent strategies.
  • Ensure learning strategies and department goals directly support the organization’s strategic priorities and future talent capabilities.
  • Champion change leadership by designing and supporting communication and enablement strategies that accelerate adoption.
  • Facilitate training and deliver high-impact learning experiences across a variety of audiences, when necessary.
