About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, IT Vendor Management to join our IT team. In this role, you will lead how West Monroe selects, contracts with, and manages our IT vendors across software, SaaS, cloud, managed services, and consulting. You will partner closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure our vendor relationships deliver value, manage risk, and support firm growth. This is a visible leadership role that will challenge you to optimize critical technology investments and partnerships for our employee-owned firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in IT vendor management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or closely related roles.
  • Experience leading complex negotiations and managing a portfolio of IT vendors; professional services or consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software, SaaS, cloud, and managed services commercial models and key negotiation levers.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating complex IT agreements and driving measurable financial and operational outcomes.
  • Solid financial acumen, including budget management and cost optimization.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent negotiations and initiatives.
  • A “driver” mindset with a bias for action, clarity, and results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key IT categories (software, SaaS, cloud, managed services, consulting).
  • Lead RFI/RFP processes, evaluate vendor proposals, and drive competitive negotiations to achieve optimal pricing and terms.
  • Lead negotiation of IT contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments) including pricing, SLAs, and key commercial and legal terms.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure contracts meet firm standards and risk appetite.
  • Build and manage IT budgets; monitor spend vs. budget and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain vendor management frameworks, including segmentation, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Lead regular performance reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key vendors and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to assess and monitor vendor risk.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders on vendor strategy, selection, and performance.
  • Provide clear, concise updates to leadership on vendor-related risks, opportunities, and key decisions.
  • Develop playbooks, standards, and guidance to help teams engage vendors effectively.
  • Continuously refine vendor management processes, tools, and governance to increase efficiency and transparency.
  • Lead or support initiatives such as AP centralization, contract workflow automation, and implementation or enhancement of vendor management/CLM tools.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to team members and matrixed resources involved in vendor management activities.
