Senior Manager HR, Perfumery & Beauty, North America Location: Princeton, NJ/USA Bring your passion for people and operations to life at dsm‑firmenich. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner for Operations to join our Perfumery & Beauty North America HR (P&B NAM) team. In this strategic, hands‑on role, you will be a driving force behind our people and culture agenda across multiple manufacturing sites (Princeton, Somerset, Van Nuys, Newark, Rincon), with direct ownership and daily partnership at one primary plant (Princeton). You will work side‑by-side with senior leaders to shape culture, develop talent, strengthen accountability, and influence key decisions—while remaining deeply engaged in the realities of the business, from the plant floor to the leadership table. Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience as an HR Business Partner/similar HR role supporting a manufacturing/operations client group required; experience managing others a plus
  • Effective communicator, coach and negotiator, building trust and inspiring at every level. Fluidly shift from big-picture thinking to hands-on, detail-oriented execution, providing holistic end-to-end support. You're not just a problem-spotter, you're a problem-solver.
  • You bring calm creativity to tackling business challenges and are skilled at translating complex issues into clear, actionable steps. You balance a business-oriented mindset with a curious, caring human approach
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field; Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own full‑cycle HR partnership across five Operations sites, serving as a core member of site leadership teams and providing strong, independent counsel
  • Lead hands‑on employee relations and manager interventions, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and policy adherence — ensuring timely, fair outcomes, while raising expectations for accountability.
  • Drive culture and engagement from the ground up, acting as a visible change leader who strengthens leadership behaviors, trust, retention, and employee experience across exempt and non-exempt populations.
  • Act with urgency, sound judgment, and precision, staying highly responsive to daily operational needs while making thoughtful, well‑calibrated decisions in fast-moving and high-impact situations.
  • Leverage data to drive proactive, strategic action, identifying trends, risks, and root causes across the workforce and translating insights into forward‑looking plans that influence decisions, mitigate risk, and align people strategies with business priorities.
  • Grow and develop talent, directly managing one HR professional, building capabilities and heightening strategic impact of HR partnership across the sites.
