About The Position

Provides strategic leadership and oversight for federal grants programming under ESSA, ensuring compliance and alignment with district goals. This role spearheads the implementation of initiatives serving Homeless Education, Foster Care, Military, and Migrant Education populations, builds high-impact partnerships, and drives professional development for staff and leaders district-wide. The Senior Manager is accountable for program effectiveness, compliance with state and federal regulations, and the long-term sustainability of services to support student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education or Human Service Related Field required
  • 3 or more years of experience in Federal grants management or other local or state grants required
  • 2 or more years experience working with highly mobile youth, case management and mentoring/advocacy required
  • 3 or more years of management experience required
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations under ESSA Title I, II, III, IV and other federal grants
  • Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner
  • Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources
  • Ability to motivate and influence others
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the programmatic direct services of assigned programs under ESSA federal grants for Highly Mobile Youth (Homeless Education, Foster Care, Military, Migrant Education), families, staff and community
  • Leads the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of programmatic functions and compliance efforts for Fostering Opportunities, ensuring alignment with district-wide priorities and ESSA regulations
  • Serve as a strategic partner to other department leaders, to optimize district-wide workflow, drive long-term planning, and amplify impact
  • Work collaboratively with other department leaders; engage in weekly update meetings to optimize workflow and impact
  • Oversees and directs programmatic strategy, resource allocation, and compliance monitoring for federal programs serving Highly Mobile Youth
  • Leads district-wide professional development initiatives, equipping school leaders and staff with the tools to support Highly Mobile Youth, fostering a culture of equity and inclusion
  • Works with Community Partners and Stakeholders serving as the secondary McKinney-Vento District Liaison and/or Child Welfare Education Liaison to meet compliance for local, state and federal guidelines
  • Supervises and mentors, setting strategic goals, fostering professional growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of district-wide initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Salary Range: $93,744 - $114,819.
