About The Position

The Sr. Manager of FP&A owns the Club’s financial plan and plays a central role in shaping business decisions by translating data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. This role leads budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning while building scalable processes that improve visibility, discipline, and performance across the organization. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Business, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting experience
  • Experience in travel, insurance, subscription membership, and/or service organizations
  • Solid understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
  • Ability to translate data into clear, business-relevant insights
  • Ability to be agile, able to adapt to situations that involve rapidly changing tasks, shifting priorities, competing demands, or transitions into new assignments.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with team members and with partners across all departments.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
  • Ability to establish, nurture, and optimize key internal and external partnerships and influence organizational change.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience using FP&A and budgeting systems to manage forecasting and modeling
  • Experience building or improving FP&A processes and tools
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts; drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and planning efficiency
  • Own the consolidated financial outlook and maintain driver-based models, including long-range planning, scenario analysis, and sensitivities
  • Partner with senior leaders to align financial plans with strategic priorities and operational goals
  • Analyze financial results against budget and forecast, identify key drivers of variances and recommend corrective actions to improve outcomes
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, providing regular, insight-driven reporting to leadership
  • Prepare executive and board materials that clearly communicate financial insights and support strategic decisions
  • Drive improvements in FP&A processes, systems, and data quality to enable scalability and consistency
  • Act as a hands-on leader, owning complex analyses while guiding team deliverables
  • Foster a positive team culture by promoting respectful interactions, collaboration, and contributions toward achieving department and organizational goals
  • Incorporate AAA’s vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guide and motivate others to remain committed to AAA’s vision mission and values
  • Manage and develop a small FP&A team, providing coaching, prioritization, and performance feedback
  • Lead the team while contributing directly to complex analyses and deliverables
