About The Position

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis plays a crucial role in supporting Senior management by evaluating operating performance and developing short-term forecasts, annual operating plans, and longer-term strategic plans. This position involves the creation and distribution of financial analysis and reports to identify key operating trends, thereby assisting management in enhancing future operating performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A Management.
  • Proficient in financial planning and analysis, financial forecasting, financial reporting, budgeting, and pricing.
  • Experience in corporate finance planning and analysis.
  • Coordination with sales, product management, project/program, R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry required; agriculture industry experience is ideal.
  • Knowledge of SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud, foreign exchange, tariffs, and financial elasticity.

Nice To Haves

  • FPAP or FPAC certification preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics or Finance preferred but not required.
  • Experience with a global manufacturer/seller is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, reporting, and analysis of financial and operating metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Accumulate, organize, and manipulate quantitative data to identify and explain trends, problems, and their causes.
  • Partner with Senior Commercial and Operating leaders to enhance performance measurement and drive improved results.
  • Provide analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling assistance to support company objectives in decision-making and historical analysis.
  • Deliver proactive and insightful analysis of past and forecasted results to operating management in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate business problems and challenges, offering potential solutions.
  • Initiate actions to address business issues, prevent problems, or resolve issues.
  • Communicate results clearly to executive audiences in both verbal and written formats.
  • Identify associations between seemingly independent events to recognize trends in financial forecasts and potential cause-effect relationships.
  • Prepare executive and Board-level presentations and communications with logically reasoned, data-supported analyses.
  • Enhance the FP&A department’s information data sources, knowledge management repositories, and processes.
  • Coordinate and manage quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, interacting with global staff and executive management.
  • Develop and maintain budgeting tools necessary for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Accumulate and analyze budget and forecast data, recommending changes related to cash flow drivers, sales, and costs.
  • Perform financial modeling in support of financial planning and analysis.
  • Coordinate budget and forecast assumption setting and publish guidance for global staff.
  • Support the preparation of regular bank compliance reporting and assist the Treasury function in cash planning and forecasting.
  • Manage continuous improvement of area processes, functions, and tasks.
  • Provide information and support to auditors of Financial Reporting and Lending.
  • Develop and maintain strong industry and competitive knowledge to enhance department output.
  • Develop and supervise staff, including those supporting specific business areas or functions.
  • Ensure effective communication within the FP&A team, manage hiring, staffing, and termination, and recommend and implement staff compensation levels.
  • Set priorities, direct work, balance workload, and assess performance against team and individual objectives.
  • Build an effective team to meet all department requirements and objectives.
  • Direct supervision and coordinate across dotted line organizational reporting relationships to influence successful execution of critical processes.

  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan - The Plan helps your retirement savings grow by matching your contributions. Oregon Tool will match 100% of the first 3% of your pre-tax contribution and 50% of the next 3% of your pre-tax contribution. Team Members are eligible to participate within their first 30 days of employment by actively enrolling in the plan and are immediately 100% vested. Team Members who do not actively enroll will be automatically enrolled in the Plan at a contribution rate of 3% of pre-tax eligible earnings after 35 days of employment.
  • Profit Sharing -This is an enhancement to the Oregon Tool 401(K) Retirement Savings Plan that is targeted to be between 2% and 5% of eligible base pay each year based on EBITDA financial metrics. This is a discretionary benefit and therefore not guaranteed each year. Eligible Team Members must be employed on December 31st of the plan year and have worked at least 1,000 hours to receive the Savings Plus contribution. There is a five-year vesting schedule.
  • Medical & Vision Insurance - The Company offers two medical plans that are available to Team Members and their dependents; a PPO plan through Meritain (an Aetna Company) and a PPO plan through Kaiser Permanente, which includes vision coverage. The Company also offers vision insurance through EyeMed which you can enroll in regardless of your medical plan selection. These benefits are available on a Team Member’s first day of employment by actively enrolling within their first 30 days of employment.
  • Dental Insurance - The Company offers two dental plan options that are available to Team Members and their dependents: one plan through Aetna Dental and another plan through Kaiser Permanente.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts are available for Team Members to set aside pre- tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. When you enroll in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account, you will receive a pre-paid debit card that allows you to pay for eligible expenses at the point of service.
  • Educational Aid - The Company offers an exceptional Educational Aid benefit that reimburses up to 100% of tuition and books for approved courses and degree programs, including associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs.
  • Paid Vacation and Holidays - It is the policy of the Company to provide annual vacation time with pay to all regular Team Members for recreation, relaxation and pursuit of personal interests. New Team Members accrue fifteen (15) days of vacation annually. Additionally, there are eleven (11) paid holidays per calendar year; nine (9) designated holidays and two (2) floating holidays. The Company also offers one (1) annual paid community involvement day. A Community Involvement Day is a day off from work, with pay, which Team Members can use to volunteer at a charitable organization.
  • Emergency Time Off (ETO) - The Company provides ETO to replace income that would otherwise be lost when a Team Member is unable to work due to illness, injury, or emergency situations which cannot be planned or avoided and require a Team Member’s immediate attention and time away from work.
  • Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurances - The Company provides each Team Member with Basic Life Insurance coverage equal to two times their annual salary and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance coverage equal to two times their annual salary.
  • Optional Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance - In addition to the company provided Life and AD&D coverage, Team Members may purchase additional coverage Optional Life Insurance and Voluntary AD&D coverage.
  • Disability Income Plans - Short Term Disability Coverage is available for all hourly and salary non-exempt Team Members. Exempt Team Members are eligible to receive Short Term Disability Coverage and Long-Term Disability Coverage.
  • Voluntary Critical Illness Insurance and Voluntary Accident Insurance – Critical Illness Insurance is designed to help ensure that, should you be diagnosed with a covered critical illness, you’ll have the financial support to help you continue to pay your daily living expenses.
