Senior Manager, Enterprise PMO
About The Position
Have you taken full ownership of complex enterprise programmes in a matrixed organisation? Do you bring experience delivering strategic business and technology transformation initiatives? Are you ready to lead from structure to execution within a global enterprise environment? CFA Institute is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Enterprise PMO. This is not a reporting-focused project manager role. It is an opportunity to lead and deliver complex, enterprise-level strategic initiatives aligned to our 2030 ambitions. You will act as a strategic partner to business, finance and technology leaders, driving programme delivery across global, cross-functional teams while establishing clear governance, structure and accountability.
Requirements
- 8 to 12+ years’ experience leading complex, enterprise-scale strategic initiatives within global, matrixed organisations
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional programme teams and senior stakeholders without formal line authority
- Demonstrated ownership of programme structure, governance and delivery outcomes
- Experience spanning business and technology transformation initiatives
- Strong portfolio governance and financial oversight experience, including project controls and KPI management
- Experience delivering across waterfall, Agile and hybrid methodologies
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with experience engaging executive stakeholders
- Proficiency with enterprise tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Workday, NetSuite or similar platforms
Nice To Haves
- PMP, PMI-ACP or PRINCE2 certification preferred
- Background in large corporates, consulting, financial services, education or other enterprise transformation environments is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex enterprise strategic initiative, from structuring and governance through to execution and close
- Define programme frameworks, milestones, operating models and governance structures
- Partner with senior stakeholders across finance, technology and business functions to align goals, priorities and delivery plans
- Drive portfolio and programme-level process enhancements, tools and enabling technologies
- Develop frameworks and proof of concepts to optimise financial and project management capabilities
- Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and decision pathways
- Ensure compliance with ePMO standards, controls and documentation practices
- Collaborate across US and UK teams, building strong cross-border relationships
- Contribute to strengthening and maturing Enterprise PMO capability
