Summary of Responsibilities: The project management office (PMO) provides leadership, organization and coordination to support key activities encompassing program planning, governance and project management. The PMO ensures all projects administered by the PMO office adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for program and project management. He/she manages change and promotes the continuous improvement of project management related processes throughout Chervon. The PMO guides project stakeholders in defining project scope and ensuring the effective utilization of resources are maintained. The Chervon North America PMO will work closely with our CEO and CFO to assist with strategic business planning for the Chervon North America business unit. This position encompasses all planning initiatives including rollout, compilations, presentations, strategy and market analysis.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience consisting of a minimum 8 years experience as a Program Management Office (PMO) leader or 5 years as a senior program manager with direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change/improvement
  • Understanding of change management principals
  • Knowledge and experience of best practice project management methodologies and techniques to provide sound advice and support to Project Managers
  • Experience in contract management preferred
  • Ability to influence others to manage their projects in accordance with project management best practice
  • Ability to operate in an environment of uncertainty and incomplete information and make well-reasoned decisions
  • Ability to foresee and avoid problems before they occur wherever possible
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately report on project progress and outcomes to leadership and steering groups
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of complex projects and situations across all areas of the organization
  • Manage financial, capital and human resources in accordance with best practice and the organizations policies, procedures and delegations
  • Proactively and assertively managing resources external to the immediate programme (e.g. contractors) to ensure the needs of the projects are met
  • Work with others to build a matrix, project management framework and capability for the account to best achieve its broader outcomes
  • Project management qualification including PMP preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in working within the tool manufacturing industry or durables goods industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • During the program life cycle, the PMO manager adds value by ensuring delivered projects meet design specifications and quality standards and get completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the definition and maintenance of the standards of project management and process.
  • Supports the successful delivery of programs undertaken by SBS through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting.
  • Assist with advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches and act as the first point of contact for any program management queries within Chervon; Handle all aspects of project planning, requirements gathering, scheduling and work planning, communications, issue resolution, cost tracking, financial reporting and change management
  • PMO managers administer Prepares Chervon North Americas business plans; Service initiatives; Sample workshops; US production for Riders; Flex NA System transitions impacting North America; Compose and present key management presentations; Conduct business studies; Market business plans.
