About The Position

As SENIOR MANAGER, DIGITAL MERCHANDISING & SEARCH, this role leads the strategy and execution of how customers discover and engage with products across CITY Furniture’s digital ecosystem, with ownership of PIM, discovery platforms, and product data excellence. The position defines and governs product data architecture, taxonomy, and enrichment to power search, browse, recommendations, and emerging AI-driven experiences. Partnering cross-functionally and leading a dedicated team, this role drives scalable, high-performing discovery experiences that increase engagement, conversion, and revenue while preparing the business for future innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, UX, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-6+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital product, merchandising, or discovery-related roles
  • 3+ years of leadersihp experience
  • Expert knowledge in leading product discovery and search platforms such as Unbxd, Algolia, Bloomreach Discovery, Coveo, Constructor, or Klevu (search, browse, recommendations)
  • Expert-level experience with PIM, including product models, enrichment workflows, and data governance or Similar. Akeneo, Salsify, Pimcore, Syndigo or similar.
  • Experience designing scalable product data architectures to support ecommerce, marketplaces, and omnichannel use cases
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics platforms (GA4 preferred)
  • User behavior and experimentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Clarity, A/B testing platforms)
  • Collaboration and delivery tools (Teams, Jira, Confluence or similar)
  • Working knowledge of PIM/DAM integrations a plus
  • Google Analytics Certified
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Leads the end-to-end strategy for onsite product discovery, including browse experiences, category structures, navigation, filters, sort logic, search relevance, and discovery-related content.
  • Owns the vision for how product data and discovery platforms work together to support customer intent.
  • Partners with Merchandising and Digital Experience team to ensure category and product-level experiences are intuitive, scalable, and aligned to how customers shop for furniture, mattresses, appliances, and home décor.
  • Leads the ongoing vendor management for PIM and discovery tools.
  • Builds, leads, and mentors a high-performing Product Discovery and PIM team, both onshore and offshore as applicable.
  • Clearly defines roles, responsibilities, and success metrics for discovery, taxonomy, and PIM-focused team members.
  • Establishes scalable workflows, standard work, and governance for product data management, enrichment, and discovery optimization.
  • Coaches team members to become subject-matter experts in discovery technologies.
  • Leverages analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Unbxd analytics, PIM reporting, behavioral analytics) to evaluate discovery and product data performance at the category, collection, and product level.
  • Develops reporting frameworks and insights that inform merchandising decisions, content strategy, and UX improvements.
  • Conducts competitive research to stay ahead of ecommerce discovery, PIM, and taxonomy best practices.
  • Owns discovery-related KPIs such as browse engagement, filter usage, search refinement, PDP view rate, data completeness, attribute usage, and assisted conversion.
  • Use analytics, testing, and customer behavior insights to identify friction points and opportunities.
  • Leads ongoing optimization of iterative enhancements, and continuous performance reviews across discovery and PIM initiatives.
  • Owns the PIM strategy and data architecture including product models, variant structures, attributes, families, and enrichment workflows for both CITY Furniture and City Home.
  • Ensures product data models are future-proofed to support new categories, marketplaces, omnichannel use cases, and advanced discovery features.
  • Establishes governance and quality standards to ensure product data accuracy, consistency, and usability across all digital touchpoints.
  • Partners with Marketing, UX, and Technology to plan and evolve intelligent discovery experiences powered by high-quality product data and behavioral signals.
  • Supports the roadmap for AI-driven search, recommendations, guided selling, and adaptive browse experiences that improve relevance and customer confidence.
