What you'll do Packaging Leadership Lead packaging design strategy across Member’s Mark categories, balancing brand consistency with category-specific differentiation. Drive the development of scalable design systems that deliver clarity, appetite appeal, and retail impact. Oversee all packaging creative from concept through production, ensuring designs meet brand, business, and regulatory standards. Creative Direction & Brand Building Partner with cross-functional teams (merchandising, marketing, product development, legal, etc.) to bring the brand to life across packaging, photography, and in-club experiences. Provide creative leadership for brand photography — ensuring imagery elevates storytelling, appetite appeal, and differentiation. Guide and mentor internal designers, agencies, and production partners to deliver best-in-class creative. Team Leadership & Collaboration Manage and inspire a team of art directors, designers, and agency partners. Champion design excellence and raise the creative bar across every Member’s Mark touchpoint. Advocate for the role of design as a business driver, not just an executional function. Strategic Execution & Innovation Execute creative strategies aligned to the member experience strategy, leveraging industry trends and business needs to drive innovation. Collaborate with other Marketing groups and stakeholders outside of Marketing (e.g., Category Management, Finance, Accounts Payable) to ensure campaign alignment and vendor coordination. Manage budgets through cost-benefit analyses and financial oversight. Drive execution of multiple business plans by identifying member and operational needs, removing barriers, allocating resources, and adjusting performance as needed. People Development & Culture Coach and mentor team members to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance. Conduct career development conversations and performance evaluations. Promote a belonging mindset and support company policies, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Support continuous learning and adaptability across the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in packaging design — private brand, CPG, or both. (Applications without packaging experience will not be considered.)
  • Proven success managing large-scale packaging portfolios across multiple categories.
  • Ability to balance creativity with commercial and operational realities (cost, sustainability, print production, compliance).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing packaging systems, visual identity, and brand photography direction.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience guiding both internal and external creative teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to advocate for design as a business driver.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 3 years' experience in editorial content management or related field OR 5 years' experience in editorial content management or related field.
