About The Position

FHI 360 is seeking a Senior Manager – Corporate and Foundation Partnerships to help grow, steward, and deepen relationships with leading corporations, affiliated foundations and private philanthropy. Reporting to the Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, this role sits within the Account Management and Engagement team in the Strategy and Resource Mobilization group and plays a critical role in advancing strategic funding partnerships across priority impact areas and geographies. The Senior Manager will manage a select portfolio of priority corporate and private foundation accounts, lead the development and execution of account strategies, and collaborate closely with internal technical and business development teams to identify, shape, and advance funding opportunities. This role is ideal for a relationship-oriented professional who brings sound judgment, strong partnership instincts, and enjoys balancing strategy with execution in support of mission-driven impact at scale.

Requirements

  • Proven experience securing, managing and stewarding funded relationships with corporate and/or private foundation partners.
  • Strong understanding of private philanthropy and corporate giving landscapes, including trends, priorities, and engagement models.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to—and in some cases lead—account strategy development, opportunity identification, and partner engagement planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and tailor messaging to diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and comfort working collaboratively across technical, programmatic, and business development teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (or international equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., business, communications, international development, social sciences).
  • 5+ years of partnerships experience, ideally at the intersection of non-profits and institutional philanthropy.
  • At least 8 years of fundraising, business development, or resource mobilization, ideally working with corporate and/or private foundation funders.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with corporate and/or private foundations, including familiarity with their partnership approaches, expectations, and requirements.
  • Prior experience in the nonprofit, philanthropy, global development, or social impact sector.
  • Professional, articulate communicator with the ability to engage effectively with funders, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Willingness to work longer hours, potentially outside of typical business days, when required due to pressing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Partnership Strategy & Growth Support and implement account strategies for a select portfolio of corporate and private foundation partners aligned with FHI 360’s strategic priorities.
  • Conduct funder research, profiling, and viability assessments to identify new prospects and inform pipeline development.
  • Track, advance, and directly contribute to funding opportunities—working closely with internal stakeholders to support writing, pitch preparation, and proposal development from early engagement through award.
  • Apply analytical and strategic thinking to identify growth opportunities and navigate complex partnership challenges.
  • Account Management & Engagement Serve as a core member of the account team for assigned corporate and private foundation partners.
  • Help deepen and strengthen funder engagement through coordinated outreach, meeting preparation, and thoughtful stewardship.
  • Represent FHI 360 with current and prospective partners at meetings, conferences, and other external engagements.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on account status, opportunities, risks, and relationship health.
  • Collaboration & Internal Partnership Work closely with technical teams, program delivery, resource mobilization, and country/regional colleagues to align funder interests with FHI 360 capabilities.
  • Act as a connector across the organization—linking internal expertise to external funders to support strong, competitive partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource on assigned funders, sharing insights on priorities, trends, and best engagement practices.
  • Systems, Knowledge & Process Maintain accurate account records, engagement plans, and opportunity tracking in Salesforce and related systems.
  • Support continuous improvement of account management processes, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to team-wide learning on trends in corporate and private foundation philanthropy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
