About The Position

The Senior Manager, Communications – Content Experience & Creative, Corporate Social Media will serve as a social storyteller and strategist, helping shape the reputation of one of the world’s most recognizable brands. From guiding the development, publication and moderation of day-to-day content to providing counsel on culturally complex issues - this seasoned social professional will be a critical partner in telling the Walmart story. Skills critical for success include exceptional judgement, proactivity, ownership, cultural awareness and creative thinking. Working closely with our partners in Communications, Marketing, Creative and across the business, this role’s top priority is amplifying unforgettable stories and extending the impact of communication campaigns targeted to Walmart’s customers, associates and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience as a strategic thinker, collaborative teammate, and compelling storyteller.
  • Demonstrated success building and sustaining serialized content or campaigns with a global perspective.
  • Experience navigating moments of crisis, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and advise executives in real time.
  • A consistent history of ownership, proactive problem‑solving, and strong attention to detail.
  • Natural leadership skills, with the ability to actively brainstorm, articulate rationale, and influence confidently in the moment.
  • A proven track record of building successful cross‑functional partnerships, including agency collaboration, at scale.
  • Comfort taking creative risks, paired with a history of exercising sound judgment in risk‑based decision‑making.
  • Strong executive presence and professionalism, with the ability to both give and receive feedback and thrive in dynamic work and social media environments.
  • Experience stewarding an employee advocacy program or internal social media platform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or related field and 3 years’ experience in creative or content experience, project management, or a related field OR 5 years’ experience in creative or content experience, project management, or a relevant area.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Multimedia Production Management (MPM)
  • Certified Multimedia Professional (CMP) certification
  • Experience leading creative teams and managing large scale content projects.
