If you’ve got the appetite for a new job as Senior Manager - Bottling for McIlhenny Company, makers of TABASCO® brand products, then we want to hear from you. The Senior Bottling Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing bottling production activities. The position ensures the team consistently achieves operational excellence targets in safety, quality, service, delivery, cost performance, manufacturing output, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement by developing frontline leadership, resolving personnel and material issues, and improving the capability of machinery. This role oversees all bottling production planning, workforce capability, labor utilization, department expenses, and equipment performance. This job requires significant presence on the floor, communicating with the team and other leadership to address issues and remove barriers to improve performance. The use of CDC as a primary management and feedback tool is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics); however, 5+ years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing or operations environment demonstrating progressive leadership, operational expertise, or driving operational excellence may be considered in lieu of a formal education.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft, Oracle, ADP, MES) or the ability to learn production software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food, beverage, or consumer-packaged goods manufacturing
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience
  • Production scheduling, workforce development, or performance management knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership by coaching direct reports, offering regular feedback, conducting regular 1:1s, and creating clear development plans to foster individual growth.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance culture by ensuring accountability and cultivating talent to meet current and future business needs.
  • Model and reinforce the company’s core values - Make It Better, Make It Together, Make It Last - ensuring they are consistently demonstrated and promoted across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to safe practices, policies, conditions, and lead incident investigations with corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure a quality mindset and lead by example for manufacturing to adhere to food safety regulations, SQF, HACCP, FDA, and GMP standards to prevent non-conformities.
  • Ensure lines are adequately staffed by managing time and attendance and PTO. Execute production schedules in an efficient manner to meet customer demand and operational targets, using straight time as much as possible and scheduled overtime as necessary.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor key performance indicators in all areas during the shift to maintain production flows, escalate issues, minimize downtime, drive improvements to meet overall production targets, and ensure availability of materials, packaging, and staffing.
  • Partner with the Director of Manufacturing on strategic initiatives, factory operations, employee engagement, and project execution.
  • Partners with teams in Scheduling, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Shipping, Maintenance and Blending to ensure the right products are available at the right time.
  • Lead manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives including root cause analysis, waste elimination, 5s sustainment, SKU changeovers, material flows, and production scheduling.
