As a Senior Manager, AVS Program Delivery supporting Surgical Product Marketing & Management team, you will be trusted to serve as the voice of the customer ensuring clinical needs, workflow realities, and market dynamics are represented in design decisions. Partnering closely with software engineering, systems engineering, clinical affairs, regulatory, and regional marketing teams, the Program Delivery lead will direct trade-off discussions, prioritize features, and help deliver digital solutions that optimize surgical planning, decision support, and connectivity across the cataract and refractive surgery journey. This will be based out of our Fort Worth, TX location. In this role, a typical day will include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs.
  • Assoc.+11 yrs.; M.S.+4 yrs.; PhD+3 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary champion of surgeons, staff, and patients within the development process.
  • Translate voice-of-customer insights, market research, and KOL feedback into clear product requirements and user stories.
  • Conduct workflow mapping and usability validation with clinical stakeholders.
  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Vision Suite Applications.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements, balancing customer needs, business value, regulatory constraints, and technical feasibility.
  • Monitor competitor offerings, emerging technologies, and digital health trends to inform strategy.
  • Partner with software engineering and systems engineering to evaluate design trade-offs and drive timely, high-quality product delivery.
  • Collaborate with regional commercial teams to understand market adoption dynamics and support launch planning.
  • Interface with clinical, regulatory, quality, and cybersecurity to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Write and maintain product requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria in alignment with IEC 62304 and Alcon design controls.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning as Product Owner representative.
  • Ensure requirements traceability and usability verification throughout development.
  • Drive product launches, training materials, and field enablement in collaboration with global and regional teams.
