About The Position

Join Walmart’s Transportation Engineering team to help drive the future of retail by advancing zero-emissions vehicle (ZEV) technology and supporting our goal of achieving zero emissions by 2040. You’ll use your engineering expertise to research, pilot, and implement sustainable transportation solutions across our fleet. This onsite position is based at our Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas. A full relocation package can be made available, but we are not considering remote applicants. Our team is dedicated to supply chain digitization, automation, and sustainability. We work cross-functionally with partners in operations, construction, and energy transformation to integrate innovative technologies and optimize fleet performance.

Requirements

  • Engineering experience with a focus on sustainability and ZEVs
  • Strong data analysis and project management skills
  • Experience with transportation infrastructure, automation, or autonomous vehicles
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and influence stakeholders
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in mechatronics, process flow design, or engineering economics is a plus
  • Masters: Computer Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Define strategies for ZEV technology and infrastructure deployment
  • Integrate zero-emission vehicles into fleet operations
  • Optimize automation and operational best practices
  • Build business cases and provide design solutions
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct data analytics to support decision-making
