About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Senior Manager 1, Field Marketing to support 40–50 K-12 school districts in the South-Central region. This is a remote role with up to 50% travel; candidates in IL, IN, MI, and WI are strongly preferred and must live near a major airport. In this role, you’ll be the strategic marketing partner to operations teams—driving student engagement, brand execution, and marketing excellence across your region. We’re looking for a creative, collaborative leader with strong operational insight to deliver growth, satisfaction, and participation in K-12 schools. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in foodservice, education, or consumer-facing industries.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Must be comfortable with advanced functions of MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years

Nice To Haves

  • Previous school operations experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization with field-based teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute district-specific student engagement plans aligned with annual business objectives to drive participation and satisfaction.
  • Oversee national brand initiatives across all school levels, ensuring consistency, compliance, and tailoring programs to local communities.
  • Analyze performance metrics to optimize marketing impact and return on investment.
  • Provide consultative support and training to field operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams for integrated solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school administrators, district leaders, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent marketing in client meetings and business reviews, identifying opportunities to enhance satisfaction and client retention.
