Under general direction this position will analyze, monitor, plan, prepare and evaluate all aspects of the departmental budget. This position will supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of the Senior Office Assistant within the City Attorney's Office. This position will be responsible for the analyzing, planning, scheduling, procurement, implementation, and evaluation of various systems for the City Attorney's office. This position will also be responsible for the administrative financial management of budget for utility coalitions such as the Texas Coalition of Cities for Utilities Issues (TCCFUI) - 77 member cities, Oncor Cities Steering Committee (OCSO) (electric) - 169 member cities, and the ATMOS Cities Steering Committee (ACSC) (gas) - 186 member cities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The ability to analyze, plan, coordinate, prepare, implement, and monitor the City Attorney's Office operating and budget expenditure and revenue estimates, technological and law office systems, and policies; and the ability to undertake management research projects to achieve operations improvements at various levels throughout the divisions of the department. Ability to prioritize, organize, assign, monitor, and evaluate the work of direct report. The ability to collect, analyze, and evaluate relevant information in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards to form an objective opinion on the appropriateness of accountability, economy, efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance within the unit under review; and the ability to evaluate employee positions, resource procurement, budgetary and financial controls, review and update policies and procedures, law library resourcing, department space design and security. The ability to develop, evaluate and monitor performance criteria against the department goals and objectives. The ability to prepare, monitor, coordinate and implement financial and budgetary controls for miscellaneous city affiliated organizations and coalitions of cities having common interests in legal and financial matters before legislative, judicial, and regulatory bodies. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: The ability to prepare statistical, financial, and forecast models. The ability to prepare written reports and presentations that clearly communicate program outcomes. The ability to perform high level special assignments and projects. The ability to provide projections of revenue, expenditures, and accounting of funding managed by the department.
