The Milliken Kingsley Plant is a world class air-jet weaving operation in Thomson, Georgia.  We weave fabric for end products such as duct tape, medical tape, uniforms, military, home furnishings, and industrial products.  The Weaver makes sure weaving machines are running efficiently with minimal defects.  The Weaver works on a rotating 8-hour shift.

Requirements

  • Able to correctly identify defects and machine issues, document, and make sure issues are addressed.
  • Should be self-directed to the point of working with little to no supervision.
  • Requires excellent airjet weaving skills and excellent job management skills.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance on assigned rotating shift schedule.
  • Must be able to move around job for entire shift.
  • Able to tie knots and draw ends to IE target times.
  • Knowledge of weave room policies and procedures.
  • Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities.
  • Auditing safety items in department.
  • Ability to read and write and follow directions.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Keep airjet weaving machines running by repairing end breaks, starting up mechanical failures, and creeling filling yarn packages.
  • Complete two light inspections on each machine twice per shift.
  • Identify defects and machine issues, document, and make sure issues are addressed.
  • Perform weave machine DTM.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Properly maintain loom control cards.
  • Anything else as instructed by management.
