About The Position

The Senior Microsoft 365 Delivery Engineer plays a vital role in the success of the organization. They are responsible for ensuring that operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and service level agreements. The Senior Microsoft 365 Delivery Engineer must have a strong understanding of the Microsoft Modern Workplace applications, adapting business needs to technical configurations, and the ability to deliver operational services. They must also be able to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure. The Senior Microsoft 365 Delivery Engineer is critical to supporting our customers embarking on technological implementations focused on secure, compliant, and effective solutions and supporting them through ongoing operations.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in Microsoft 365, business process transformation, cloud modernization, data migration, and digital transformation.
  • Proven experience in IT service delivery, cybersecurity service delivery supporting IT operational environments including SOC or NOC
  • Experience with NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, CMMC, or other highly regulated IT and Security control standards (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
  • CISSP, Six Sigma, ITIL, or other IT operations-focused certifications
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels within and external to the organization, and to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond to understand and serve customers’ needs and in effectively managing several customers simultaneously.
  • Highly collaborative–with “team” mindset, sharing ideas and supporting cross-functional colleagues; handling interactions with professionalism and integrity.
  • Demonstrates a results‑driven approach to IT operations, recognizing that technology support and system reliability extend beyond traditional 9‑to‑5 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans, processes, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards for quality deliverables, efficacy, and timeliness for NeoSystems services and deliverables.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and adherence to SLAs.
  • Serve as a NeoSystems’ Microsoft 365 delivery representative to internal and external stakeholders including executive business reviews, escalation management, and performance reporting.
  • Participate and work with stakeholders for the development of new product offerings, providing key inputs to operational delivery requirements and support models.
  • Ensure effective and smooth transition with other NeoSystems teams for onboarding and maintenance projects.
  • Support the creation and management of support processes, knowledge base articles, playbooks, and other documentation management.
  • Work with a team of engineers to build, analyze and review standardized Microsoft 365 GCC and GCC High tenant environments for clients that require compliance in accordance with CMMC, NIST 800-171 and/or DFARS 7012.
  • Collaborate with peers through multiple simultaneous projects including services onboarding, cloud migration, and continuous maintenance while ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Support and participate in architectural reviews and provide recommendations such as technology, compliance requirements, audit guidance, security benchmarks and security best practices change.
  • Interact with clients and prospective business stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges to define, detail, and scope technical requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including playbooks, design documents, configuration guides, Knowledge Base guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and partners.
  • Develop a nuanced understanding of strategic vendors' roadmaps to support the company’s business objectives.
  • Maintain flexibility to ensure critical tasks, incidents, and business needs are addressed promptly, with a focus on delivering solutions and sustaining operational continuity.
  • Promote NeoSystems service offerings and capabilities where services will enhance clients experience and security. 
  • Demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge in cloud-based infrastructure, secure configuration, and optimized performance.
  • Focus on clients’ key business challenges and act as a trusted technical advisor.
