Who we are supporting The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including: Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats. Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations. Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces. Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks. Information Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers. Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities. The program Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS) The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V. To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce. Role ID – C004628

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience Supply, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) or CNAFS.
  • Completion of IPSAS – Asset Management Course.
  • Completion of Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) Course.
  • Knowledge of NATO Logistics Regulations.
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) basic processes and operations.
  • Maintains item and inventory management records.
  • Helps minimize bottlenecks and delays and the resulting impact on operating costs.
  • Uses real-time inventory software, with guidance, to move supplies where needed, when needed.
  • Assists in resolving issues related to physical space management.
  • Coordinates daily work of inventory management for different locations within a facility or a supply network.
  • Devises standard inventory management benchmarks to improve the processes.
  • Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements.
  • Provides guidance on inventory management for a specific product group or location.
  • Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts.
  • Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problems.
  • Develops and analyzes logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
  • Manages logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
  • Implements and maintains monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
  • Works with historical, legislative and practical issues associated with domestic freight.
  • Participates in contract negotiations and interfaces with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service.
  • Consults on all major logistics processes, their interactions and operational requirements.
  • Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.
  • Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.
  • Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products.
  • Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.
  • Analyzes and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management in own area.
  • Assists in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution center.
  • Collects and translates the business requirements for specifications of warehouse management systems.
  • Performs basic warehousing activities such as receiving, putting away, picking, packing and shipping merchandise.
  • Maintains warehouse equipment and facilities on a regular basis.
  • Assists in maintaining NCIA CIS Assets Property Accounting Records for NCIA Entities and External Customers within CSU AoR.
  • Enables Customer logistical requirements within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Enables the execution of Annual Inventory Inspections in accordance with NCIA Directives and coordination with Account Holders in NCIA Entities and External Customers within the CSU AoR.
  • Conducts detailed analysis of the Asset Management system deficiencies and provides solutions in line with existing standards to ensure operational readiness for all customers.
  • Monitors Account Holder inventory balance lists ensuring all CIS equipment discrepancies are fully identified, investigated, documented, and reported. Also implements corrective actions in accordance with NCIA directives.
  • Assists in processing Requisitions and Receiving goods through the Enterprise Business Application (EBA) system.
  • Responsible for shipping and receiving equipment between CIS Sustainment Support Centre (CSSC), distributers and stakeholders.
