About The Position

Excis is a global IT support leader globally, driven by innovation and collaboration. We’re seeking a Live Event Audio Visual (AV) Operator to support the planning and delivery of high-profile corporate events, meetings, and conferences. This role requires strong technical expertise in live event AV systems, event management skills, strong communication and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements

  • Degree or certification in AV technology, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of hands-on AV engineering in live events, conferences, or corporate environments.
  • Strong background in event production, including hybrid/virtual events.
  • Must have experience providing VIP support to C-level executives
  • Proficiency in operating AV systems (audio mixing, projection, lighting, streaming).
  • Familiarity with unified communication platforms (MS Teams, Teams Town Hall, Zoom, Webex).
  • Networking knowledge (AV over IP desirable).
  • Strong organizational and event management skills.
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to work with executives and stakeholders.
  • Vendor and supplier management experience.
  • Calm under pressure with a problem-solving mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical setup, operation, and support for live, hybrid, and virtual events.
  • Operate AV equipment including sound, projection, lighting, cameras, and streaming tools.
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly during live events to minimize disruption.
  • Configure and operate AV systems (Biamp, Shure, Logitech, Cisco, etc.).
  • Manage video conferencing and streaming platforms (MS Teams, Webex, Vimeo etc.).
  • Ensure equipment is tested, maintained, and optimized for performance.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (executives, comms, facilities) to define event requirements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment, staging, and logistics.
  • Support event planning, scheduling, and rehearsal activities.
  • Ensure all events are delivered to a high professional standard.
  • Maintain technical documentation, equipment inventories, and best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of AV/event workflows.
