Torch Technologies is seeking a motivated Senior Level Linux System Administrator that can work with a diverse team to monitor, update, and support a THAAD Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and simulation lab. Seeking a candidate with a strong background in Linux, networking, and security. Knowledge with a configuration management focus is a plus. Candidates will perform firmware updates, software updates, network configurations, and standing up new systems. Experience with Ansible is also a plus. Must be able to work in a team environment. Candidates will be required to travel for a portion of each year during Flight tests and other travel activities. This lab supports an independent test platform for the THAAD weapons system. As a Senior Level Linux System Administrator your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware and software on multiple Linux platforms to include RHEL 7, RHEL 8 and RHEL 9. Network switch configuration and maintenance. Provide support for systems and users during MDA test events. Complete cybersecurity scans for the lab systems. Provide troubleshooting support for hardware and software. Manage user accounts on classified systems using multi-factor authentication. Performing system backups and restores. As required, develop Plans of Action & Mitigation (POA&M) to document deviations from approved DISA STIG requirements. Ability to step through automating Operating System builds (Ansible).

Requirements

  • US Citizenship.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years related Linux systems administration experience.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills both oral and written; exhibit the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, customer focused work environment.
  • Networks experience.
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Linux+ and Security+ certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Team Leadership.
  • Previous experience in configuration management and automated Operating System build.
  • Strong Cybersecurity knowledge.
  • THAAD Weapon System experience.
  • Ansible experience.
