This position is a 9-month, 0.88 FTE Senior Lecturer in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment. The selected candidate will have primary responsibility for leading and delivering courses for the Professional MS in Geospatial Science and the Certificate in Geospatial Science. Initial workload will be 4.25 units of Teaching, 3.75 units of Service. Workload units may change from year to year. Duties/Responsibilities Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, the Senior Lecturer will: Provide overall strategic vision, direction, and leadership for the graduate programs in Geospatial Science (both the Certificate in Geospatial Science and the Professional MS in Geospatial Science). Design and teach courses required for the graduate programs in Geospatial Science. Maintain hardware and software associated with the graduate programs in Geospatial Science. Assist in recruiting faculty or adjuncts teaching core courses in the graduate programs in Geospatial Science to ensure program excellence, consistency, and alignment. Develop partnerships across the UNH campus to ensure that the graduate programs in Geospatial Science fulfill their promise as a shared university program with strong involvement and buy-in from the colleges and promote interdisciplinary faculty engagement in the program. Develop and execute strategies to grow student enrollment of the graduate programs in Geospatial Science and enhance student learning experiences. Provide academic and career advising and mentorship to students in the graduate programs in Geospatial Science. Engage in faculty governance for the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, participate in faculty committees and other governance activities at the program, Department, College, and University levels as appropriate, and perform other tasks as assigned in an annual workload letter consistent with the Lecturers United Collective Bargaining Agreement.
